Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Tuesday that Israel would not remain apathetic in the face of Hizbullah's taunts, Army Radio reported. "We expect the Lebanese government to fulfill its obligation and take the necessary steps to prevent a recurrence of attacks," Peretz said. The defense minister's statements came two weeks after IDF troops on the northern border found explosives placed recently by Hizbullah, casting doubt on the efficacy of the UNIFIL forces deployed in the area.
