Police presence increased to prevent Hamas meeting

The police increased its presence around the village of Tzur in southern Jerusalem on Monday morning, in order to prevent a mass meeting of Hamas members in the area. On Sunday, senior Hamas member Mohamed Abu-Tir and six other Hamas activists were detained for questioning at the police headquarters in the Russian Compound in Jerusalem, Army Radio reported.
