Jerusalem police said they had the situation under control Wednesday night after a 24-year-old female, armed with a gun, barricaded herself inside Malcha Mall and threatened to kill herself. It was initially reported that an armed female soldier was involved. A police negotiation team was at the scene and said that the situation "was under control." It was speculated that the woman had become distraught after a "romantic disappointment." The mall was reopened to shoppers after a short while.
