Police and security forces have deployed in greater numbers throughout Israel over the Pessah holiday. Police were charged with monitoring entertainment and tourism sites that were expected to receive many visitors, as families enjoy the long weekend. The Border Police were set to surround the borderline between Israeli and Palestinian territories, including the Jerusalem periphery, in order to enforce the closure that was placed over the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
