A school principal was detained on Friday under suspicion that he beat an 8-year-old child who was a student at his institution. The complaint that was issued against him charged him with kicking and choking the child and locking him in a small room for an hour-and-a-half. Army Radio reported that the accused claimed to have used "reasonable force" to keep the child from attacking his classmates. He was released under restricted conditions and forbidden from contacting the child's family.
