Riot in Ofer Prison wounds three guards, 7 prisoners

Three prison guards were lightly wounded on Saturday after a riot broke in Ofer Prison. According to reports, the guards had tried to search the tents in which the inmates sleep. The prisoners refused, and immediately began to throw objects at the guards. During the violence which ensued, two tents were burnt down, three guards sustained minor injuries, and seven prisoners were treated for smoke inhalation. The police quickly retook control of the situation.
