Education Minister Yuli Tamir and Chairman of the Teachers Association Ran Erez concluded on Friday that schools would reopen after the summer vacation period as planned. Earlier, the Teachers Association decided on Friday to remove the threat of strikes after an agreement was reached concerning the stationing of security guards in educational institutions consisting of less than 100 students. According to the deal the Interior Ministry will share the costs with the Education Ministry to fund security in some 70 schools of such nature.
