Members of the Popular Resistance Committees, whose commander was killed in an explosion in his car in Gaza City earlier Friday, exchanged fire with Palestinian security forces. Members of the terrorist group blamed Israel for Commander Abu Yousef Abu Quka's death, but they also claimed that Palestinian security forces were involved in the assassination. The group's supporters paraded the streets of Gaza calling for more rocket attacks against Israel.
