Top archaeologist: Temple Mount dig not necessary

Archaeologist Meir Ben Dov, who headed previous excavation work at the Temple Mount, said Friday morning there was no need for the current renovations to be carried out at the Mughrabi Gate and that the planned bridge was not required. During an interview to Israel Radio, Ben Dov also said that the excavations were illegal and had not received the required permits.
