Israeli troops shot and wounded a Palestinian man along the fence separating the Gaza Strip from Israel on Thursday morning, Palestinian and Israeli officials said. The man, a 35-year-old farmer, was shot twice and taken to the hospital in moderate condition, according to Dr. Muawiya Hassanin of the Palestinian Health Ministry. The army said troops spotted a man sabotaging the border fence in northern Gaza and fired at his legs after he ignored calls to leave the area.
