The singer Yehudit Ravitz was born in 1956 in Beersheba, and is one of the most famous rock singers in Israel. She sang in the army, in the Combat Engineering Corps musical troupe.

Yehudit Ravitz is both a singer and a composer, and she is influenced by classical and Brazilian music. So far she has produced 13 albums. Her latest album is joint one with her brother, the guitarist Yaakov Ravitz, "Yehudit and Yaakov sing from home". Within a month it  reached gold status – more than 20,000 were sold! The album includes new arrangements of Israeli classics.
