Former TV news personality Sharon Gal was investigated under caution for sexual harassment allegations for five hours on Tuesday, police cleared for publication.
Gal was long the host of the Channel 10 program “Economic Night” until he left the station in May following allegations that he had sexually harassed a co-worker from the program. On Tuesday night police stated that he had been questioned under caution by investigators at the headquarters of the special investigative unit LAHAV 433 in Lod, but said his name was not yet cleared for publication.
While an investigation under caution is often the final step before an arrest warrant is served and official criminal charges are pursued against a defendant, it is not clear if police believe that Gal was guilty of any sort of criminal act, or that an indictment will be issued in the case.
In July, former media personality Immanuel Rosen was investigated under caution for nine hours at the LAHAV headquarters for a series of sex crime allegations leveled against him in the months before by a number of past female co-workers.
