Natalie Portman's husband, Benjamin Millipied, hopes he will be Jewish soon.
In an interview with Yedioth Aharonot, Millipied told the Israeli daily that he is in the midst of the conversion process, and that becoming Jewish is "very important" to him, and that he has "fallen in love with this country."
The well known award winning Israeli-Jewish actress has been living in the Holy Land whilst filming her directorial debut of Amos Oz's novel A Tale of Love and Darkness. Portman, along with Millipied and their son, Aleph, have been living in Tel Aviv, where Millipied says he can't get enough of all the great restaurants.
Although the couple lives in Paris, they say that Israel is a "great escape" from France, and they will be living in Israel until March. For now, Millipied describes Tel Aviv as his favorite Israeli city, however he says he may change his mind in the coming weeks, when they will be spending time in Jerusalem.
"It is the eternal dilemma between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. At this point, Tel Aviv because of the nightlife and architecture, but maybe I'll change my mind," he was reported as saying.
Portman and Millipied fell in love on set of their film Black Swan, for which Millipied was the choreographer, and for which Portman won the Academy Award for Best Actress.
The couple, who had a private Jewish wedding in New York 2012, has been relatively quiet regarding Millipied's faith, however the famous choreographer often mentions being part of a Jewish family.
And to put rumors to rest, the couple told the paper that despite pregnancy rumors, the adorable family is not expecting another child.
