Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman was set to leave for the United States late Thursday night.
Liberman was set to meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington on Tuesday, amid efforts to keep Israeli-Palestinian peace talks from collapsing.
During his trip to the US, with a number of leading congressmen, as well as New York Mayor Bill De Blasio, American Jewish Congress Director David Harris and Anti-Defamation League Chairman Abe Foxman.
Liberman will also be speaking at the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York on Sunday. He was expected to discuss US-Israel relations, negotiations with the Palestinians and the situation in the Middle East.
