Police arrest man for allegedly attacking sister with acid

Police on Saturday arrested a man in his thirties from the northern town of Tirat Hacarmel who allegedly attacked his sister with acid, leaving her with burns to her face and body.

The woman, 39, received treatment for her wounds at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa. She is listed in serious condition, and doctors have placed her on a respirator. The suspect was arrested after police found him hiding in the apartment of his friend nearby.

Investigators believe the man and his sister were embroiled in a dispute. After the alleged attack, he fled the scene, prompting their mother to notify the authorities, according to Channel 10.
