Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday, saying that Hamas must be held accountable for repeatedly rejecting efforts to reach a cease-fire to end more than two weeks of hostilities between Israel and Gaza.

Netanyahu stated that Israel was trying to keep civilian fatalities in Gaza to a minimum, but Hamas was repeatedly putting non-combatants in harm's way.
