After a short break for the High Holy Days, two of the JPost Lifestyle section’s most popular columnists returned with their own brand of must-read insights.

Molly Cutler from Taste TLV offered up her picks for the best neighborhood hangouts in Tel Aviv, while Tanya Powell-Jones traveled to Budapest to provide a detailed day-long itinerary. The latter piece is a must-read for anyone interested in the Hungarian capital’s rich Jewish heritage.

Staying with the New Year theme, healthy eating enthusiast Kathryn Rubin gave us her list of the six best “superfoods” from the past year.

Singing legend Barbra Streisand certainly looks as if she’s been eating her fair share of “superfoods.” At age 70 the singing legend is still going strong and Laura Goldman brought us an exclusive review from the first show of her "Back to Brooklyn" tour.

In terms of food, this week was all about simple recipes that reflect the time of year. Chef Laura Frankel served up a tasty Butternut Squash soup, while chicken salads were the order of the day among Jerusalem Post staff.

In the travel section, Neria Barr explored some of the newest and swankiest hotels in Tel Aviv in the second part of her feature on boutique hotels in the city that never sleeps.

Travel expert Joe Yudin took us back to a time when Tel Aviv didn’t even exist and gave his own unique insight into the archeological site of Migdal in the Galilee, while Wayne Stiles explained why a recent discovery of a massive water reservoir by the Temple Mount underscores the importance of Simhat Torah.

Einat Kayless Argaman caught up with designers Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman, the couple behind Reddish Studios.

For all those young mothers out there, alternative health expert Natalie Marx answered readers questions on breast milk.

Next week there will plenty more food and travel tips from Israel and the wider Jewish world.

The writer is JPost.com's Lifestyle editor.
