Revel in the sights and sounds of the Old City of Jerusalem at the Sounds of the Old City Festival. A true celebration of all the four quarters’ inhabitants, the alleys, squares and walls of the Old City will come to life with traditional and contemporary Armenian, Arab and Jewish music. Featuring Marsh Dondurma, Dandana, Shaharayer, Ararat Ensemble, Shlomo Bar, Opera Studio, Reim Duo and Joseph.

3- IT’S ALL GREEK TO ME
Combining Balkan, Jewish and Mediterranean beats – with a special emphasis on Greek music, mustaches and lounge jackets – Boom Pam will be bashing out all its hits at Kibbutz Dan’s Mushroom Club. The group takes its name from a song it covered entitled “Boom Pam,” a Greek hit here performed by Greek immigrant Aris San. The group’s onstage act is a self-described “alcohol-soaked wedding party,” according to Boom Pam’s website. NIS 60.

4- A NUTTY TRIPLE TUESDAY
Children have three times the fun for the price of one on the third Tuesday of every month at the Israel Museum’s Youth Wing. This Tuesday they are in for some nutty fun with three delightful activities: (1) Fill my Pockets with Nuts – prehistoric man and the coconut, a creative activity in the Archeological Tel. (2) Art in a Nutshell, an art workshop with Telma Schultz. (3) The Golden Nut, a puppet theater show based on Leon Kipnis’s book. Triple Tuesday is suitable for children aged 4-10. The city of Jerusalem is proud to once host the second Jerusalem International Marathon. Thousands of runners from Israel and abroad will take part in the sports celebration shared by the city’s residents and guests. The marathon track will cross the city from north to south in three races and will pass through the city’s main traffic arteries.

Moviegoers can look forward to the best of contemporary and classic French cinema, including premieres, documentaries and archive material at the French Film Festival. Guests include acclaimed actress Charlotte Rampling, as well as producers Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, who will present the opening night film Intouchables. The ninth annual French Film Festival will play at the cinematheques in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Sderot, Rosh Pina, Ashdod, Holon and Herzliya.

7- CAPITAL CULTURAL INFUSION
The 11th annual Jerusalem Arts Festival kicks off on Monday. Hundreds of artists will participate in the festival, which features 10 days of dance, theater and music performances at various venues around Jerusalem. One of the highlights is the opening concert, “Voices from around the World – Women Sing the Divas,” an international medley of women’s voices interspersed with the stories of the great singers such as Barbra Streisand and Edith Piaf. In keeping with tradition, the festival will feature “artistic morsels” – a choice of free evening performances before and after the shows at the Jerusalem Theater, as well as neighborhood community events, a community theater marathon and performances by immigrant groups.

9- WITHOUT A HITCH
British rock eccentric Robyn Hitchcock is returning to Israel only a few months after his triumphant 2011 shows in Tel Aviv. The indie rock hero will be arriving for two shows – the first at his original point of conquest, the Ozen Bar, for a solo show in which he’ll perform his classic 1990 album Eye in its entirety. The second show, the following night at the Barby Club, will feature REM’s Peter Buck, Bill Rieflin and Scott McCaughey.
