‘DARLING COMPANION’ Beth (Diane Keaton) saves a lost dog from the side of the freeway.
Struggling with her self involved husband Joseph (Kevin Kline) and an empty nest, she forms a special bond with the animal.

A LOOK INTO THE HAREDI WORLD A new ethnographic exhibition at the Israel Museum, “A World Apart Next Door: Glimpses into the Life of Hassidic Jews,” illustrates the hassidic experience through the rich, complex attire of men, women and children and through objects that have meaning for the community’s social and spiritual life.
Photographs, films and music from life cycle events and rituals offer visitors an opportunity to enter the intriguing world of a vibrant ultra-Orthodox community of today. Through November 30.

URI’S LEGACY The exhibition titled “Backward and Forward” features the works of Uri Lifshitz on the first anniversary of his death. The exhibition is on display at the new Pressler Museum, a private institute established by art collector Yigal Pressler, which will run exhibitions of Israeli artists, as well as theme shows of works from Pressler’s collection.

EIGHT WOMEN Gentle and sad, strong and determined, motherly and powerful – women are the subject of Beit Shmuel’s new exhibition that opens Friday. A group of eight female artists, formed more than 20 years ago, presents their works on the subject of the female model, done together and separately.

THE WELL-TEMPERED STORM “The Storming Soloists,” the third concert in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra’s series Conductors- Soloists in cooperation with the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, features conductor and piano soloist Shalev Ad-El, pianist Shai Wosner, violinist Arnaud Sussmann and cellist Wolfram Koessel.
