Abbas meets with Turkish president in Ankara

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has opened talks with the Turkish president on the Gaza conflict amid ongoing tension in the area. Turkey's President Abdullah Gul welcomed Abbas in an official ceremony at the presidential palace on Saturday. On Friday, CNN-Turk television reported that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Abbas not to "exclude" Hamas from peace talks.
