Group claims the man confessed to having informed Israel on 20 of its activists

A Palestinian suspected of collaborating with Israel was found dead on Thursday, shot seven times, on a street in the West Bank city of Nablus, witnesses and doctors said. The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, affiliated with Palestinain Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, said it had killed the man, Nihad Hashash, claiming that he had confessed to cooperating with Israel on a video they took. Hashash had informed on 20 Al Aqsa members to the Israelis, who later killed or arrested them all, group members said. The organization said Hashash had been kidnapped four days ago. Last month the group killed a Palestinian man and woman in public executions in Nablus, for allegedly collaborating with Israel. In more than five years of fighting with Israel, terrorists have killed dozens of Palestinians suspecting of collaborating with Israel. Such killings, sometimes carried out in public, are rarely condemned by Palestinians, in part because collaborators often tell Israeli forces where to find fugitives on Israel's wanted list.
