The top EU envoy to the Middle East is to meet with the new Palestinian foreign minister this week, the latest sign of widening recognition of the Hamas-Fatah coalition, the Palestinian information minister said Wednesday. The envoy, Marc Otte, is to meet Thursday with Palestinian Authority foreign minister, Ziad Abu Amr, said Information Minister Mustafa Barghouti. The foreign ministers of Sweden and Belgium are also planning trips to the region in coming days, and will visit with members of the new Cabinet, Barghouti said.
