Egyptian foreign minister holds talks in Turkey

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit met with Turkish authorities on Thursday to discuss bilateral and regional affairs, including spiraling violence in neighboring Iraq. Gheit met with his Turkish counterpart, Abdullah Gul. Gul, speaking at a joint news conference later Thursday, expressed hope that US troop increase in Iraq would help stabilize the country.
