Haniyeh agrees to dialogue, rejects referendum

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud was meeting with PA Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh in Gaza on Saturday in order to convince the latter of accepting the referendum which Abbas declared earlier in the evening. Haniyeh said he accepted dialogue [between different Palestinian factions], but rejected the idea of a referendum. The Palestinian Legislative Council has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday to discuss the legality of the referendum.
