Hezbollah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah met on Monday with a Hamas delegation headed by Musa Abu Marzouk to discuss recent events in Syria, Gaza and the Arab world, Arab media reported Wednesday.
The parties also discussed ties between Hezbollah, Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, according to Lebanese news website Naharnet, citing Lebanese daily As-Safir.
Discussing the recent violence in Gaza and southern Israel, according to the report, both sides agreed that “the Israeli enemy bears full responsibility...the situation aims at putting more pressure on the resistance... this forces preparations for any new war staged by Israel.”
Regarding developments in Syria, As-Safir quoted a source as saying that Hezbollah and Hamas shared the view that, “the military option will not resolve the crisis and there would be no alternative other than implementing the political reforms.”
The newspaper also quoted sources as saying that the two sides agreed to cooperate to improve Iran’s relations with Arab states, “based on trust, especially with the Muslim Brotherhood,” according to Naharnet.
