Sweden's foreign minister will travel to the Middle East over the weekend to meet with the Palestinian and Israeli officials, he said Wednesday. Carl Bildt's visit was among the first planned by a Cabinet minister from a European Union country since the new Palestinian Authority unity government was approved on Saturday. Bildt said he would meet with PA President Mahmoud Abbas on Saturday.
