Lebanese FM Adnan Mansour said that recognition of a Palestnian state will be a priority when Lebanon takes over the leadership of the UN Security Council in September, Lebanon's
Daily Star reported on Tuesday.
"When Lebanon heads the Security Council in September, one of its first priorities will be to vote in favor of a Palestinian state with Arab states and other countries in the world," said Mansour, according to the
Daily Star report.

On August 6 Lebanese newspaper
An-Nahar reported that Lebanon would recognize a Palestinian state in "the next few days."
According to the report, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas
was set to arrive in Lebanon Tuesday night for a period of two days
during which he will meet with Lebanese president Michel Sleiman,
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
