70-year-old-man severely injured, 11 others suffer light-to-moderate injuries in car accident on Route 6.

Two people were killed and 12 others were injured in a collision involving at least three vehicles on Route 6 near the Kiryat Gat interchange on Sunday.MDA paramedics provided initial treatment to an approximately 70-year-old man who suffered severe injuries. Eleven other people were lightly to moderately injured in the accident.Helicopters were en route to the site of the accident to evacuate the injured to hospital.The two women killed in the accident were pronounced dead at the scene by MDA paramedics.Last week, three people were killed and one was seriously injured in a car accident on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem Highway, between Shoresh and Sha'ar Hagai in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
