A hazardous substance leaked out of a container in the cargo area of Ben-Gurion Airport on Saturday night, causing one man to feel sick, Israel Radio reported.
The man, 65, was treated at a nearby hospital and was later released to his home.
The container housing the hazardous substance was brought to Israel on a cargo flight from Belgium.
The substance is known as Acrylamide and is chiefly used as a coagulant, but can also cause cancer and damage the nervous system.
El Al Airlines and Ministry of Transportation inspectors were investigating the incident.
