New YouTube video threatens Ehud Barak

Makers, who also produced Shai Nitzan clip: We’re against violence, videos made as a protest against incitement.

A day after police launched an urgent investigation into a video calling for the death of deputy state prosecutor Shai Nitzan, a new video surfaced on YouTube on Tuesday containing calls for the killing of Defense Minister Ehud Barak, and a group of anonymous individuals said they created both clips as part of a protest against incitement to violence.
The video’s alleged creators, posting under the Youtube name “IsraelTrueMedia,” claimed responsibility for the Nitzan and Barak videos, adding that both clips were aimed at drawing attention to growing incitement and vitriolic dialogue within the public sphere.

Neither videos were meant to be taken at face value, the individuals behind the videos said.
Police refused to say whether the latest claims by the film’s alleged makers would affect the investigation.
The latest video released contains images of anarchists making threatening remarks against Barak, alternating with slogans written in red letters calling for Barak’s head “to be placed on a peg.”
“This is man is a son of death and he must be murdered,” the message continued, lamenting “this garbage of a peace.”
Later in the video, the clip’s makers wrote, “We are concerned citizens who are witnessing the State of Israel losing its sanity. The severe incitement is found on every side of the political divide and it must be opposed with all force.”
They added, “We oppose violence of every type and of course we do not call for the murder of Shai Nitzan or Ehud Barak. We simply brought a difficult image of the violent reality in which we live. We apologize if someone was offended by our acts, but did not see another way of transmitting our message against incitement and violence that are flooding public discourse in Israel and every shade of the political spectrum.”
The previous video contained calls for Nitzan to be murdered and describing him as a traitor “who instead of protecting the Jewish people from Arabs... cooperates with Arabs against the Jewish people.”
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called on police to investigate the video and track down those who produced it, saying that “criticism is legitimate, but incitement and calls to murder damage the values of democracy in the State of Israel and must be cut off.”
Police have vowed to track down the filmmakers.
