Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired two rockets into rural areas of southern Israel on Monday.
One rocket slammed into a field in the Ashkelon Regional Council, failing to cause injuries.
A second landed in the neighboring Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council.
The second rocket failed to trigger the Red Alert warning system, and no siren was sounded in the area prior to the falling of the projectile. Authorities were investigating the reason for the failure.
On Sunday a Kassam rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, landing in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council area.
No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.
