A Petah Tikva resident stabbed a construction site manager with a sword on Sunday morning after becoming angry over noise, police said.
The manager, 30, was lightly injured and rushed to the Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva by paramedics.
Police have arrested the attacker. "The suspect marched on the construction site and stabbed the first person he saw," a Sharon sub-district police spokesman told The Jerusalem Post.
Patrol cars arrived quickly on the site.
Police say their speedy response prevented a more serious incident from unfolding.
"He launched the attack without talking much," the spokesman added. The suspect has no known previous criminal offenses. He is being questioned at a local police station. The stabbing suspect is said to be in light condition.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, a man from Ashdod was shot and moderately injured early on Sunday morning in a market. Paramedics rushed the man to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
Ashdod police station chief Dep.-Cmdr. Noam Shakal arrived on the scene to oversee the investigation into the shooting.
