The IDF opened an investigation into the incident and were searching the area for the perpetrators.

Three months ago Asher Hillel Palmer and his infant son Yonatan were killed as a result of rock throwing that caused their car to overturn on Road 60 near Kiryat Arba.

The IDF arrested two Palestinians from the village of Halhoul near Hebron for the attack. The suspects confessed during questioning to throwing rocks at Palmer’s car. Three additional Palestinians were arrested, who admitted to stealing Palmer’s gun after the fatal crash.
