Man killed on Route 6 while checking accident damage

Man apparently exited vehicle to inspect damage of initial 2-car crash when a passing vehicle struck and killed him; 7 hurt.

One man was killed and seven were injured in a two-stage accident involving three vehicles along Route 6 north of the Eyal Interchange on Saturday.
An investigation into the incident found that, following an initial accident between two vehicles, the man was killed by a third vehicle after he exited his vehicle to inspect the damage.
The fatality was a 20-year-old man. One person was moderately wounded, suffering multiple internal fractures. The remaining six were lightly injured.
Magen David Adom paramedics treated the patients on site. The moderately wounded man was evacuated to Rabin Medical Center-Beilinson Campus in Petah Tikva.
Also on Saturday, 14 people were injured, one of them moderately, after two taxi vans crashed into each other along a road leading to Jerusalem.
