Australian woman found stabbed to death in TA hotel

Police say screams were heard coming from the woman's room; man arrested and being examined for involvement in the case.

An Australian woman was found stabbed to death Monday in her hotel room in south Tel Aviv.
Police said the woman and her husband, both in their 50s, had arrived in Israel from Australia a number of days ago, and had been staying at the Dan Panorama Hotel on the southern side of Tel Aviv's Mediterranean promenade.

Around 4:00 p.m. shouts were heard coming from their 15th-floor room. Police and Magen David Adom paramedics who were dispatched to the scene discovered the woman's body.
A Magen David Adom doctor confirmed her death on site.
Police
arrived at the scene and arrested a man who had in his possession the stabbing instrument, and were "examining his involvement in the case."
