Dozens were wounded in clashes between security forces and Palestinian activists in the east Jerusalem Issawiya neighborhood, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported Wednesday.
The clashes broke out Tuesday evening between east Jerusalem youths and Israeli "police and soldiers" after the IDF arrested a Palestinian from his home who was accused of throwing stones at IDF soldiers, a Ma'an correspondent reported.
Witnesses said that IDF soldiers were also wounded in the clashes.
The IDF did not comment on the incidents.
In the summer, a joint operation of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) and the Israel Police Central District minority unit led to the arrest of 17 youths, some of them minors, who allegedly attacked and severely wounded an Israeli man who accidentally drove into the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Issawiya.
