Two-time Academy Award winning actor Christoph Waltz was set to travel to Israel next week for his daughter Miriam's wedding, Channel 10 program "Good Evening with Guy Pines" revealed.
The Austrian-German actor who played "The Jew Hunter" SS-Standartenführer Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's film Inglourious Basterds, was in fact previously married to a Jewish psychologist with whom he had two daughters and a son, the latter who is a rabbi in Israel.
This will not be Waltz's first trip to Israel; in 2009 he visited the country with Tarantino to promote Inglorious Basterds, for which Waltz landed the Best Actor Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the BAFTA, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild Award and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2010.
Last month, Waltz won his second Oscar for Best Supporting Actor under the direction of Tarantino, this time as a German bounty hunter in the slave revenge tale Django Unchained.
