Suspected murder-suicide in Kiryat Motzkin

Police suspect that 45-year-old woman was shot dead by ex-husband in her apartment; man shot dead in Eilat apartment.

Police opened an investigation into a suspected murder-suicide, after a woman and her ex-husband died of gunshot wounds in Kiryat Motzkin late Saturday night.
Paramedics and police officers found Aviva Jimbar, 45, shot to death in her home, and her ex-husband Moshe Jimbar, 48, with what is believed to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Moshe Jimbar was rushed to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, where he later died.
The divorced couple leave behind four children, between the ages of 10 and 21.
Police said on Sunday that they had no history of domestic violence and that neither had a police record.
Jimbar had access to the sidearm because he was employed as a security guard.
And in Eilat on Sunday morning, a local man died of wounds suffered when he was shot at his apartment following an argument with an unknown suspect.
Around midnight on Saturday, an assailant who who has not been identified arrived at the victim’s apartment and they got into an argument, police said. Soon, shots were fired. Paramedics found the victim in critical condition. They rushed him to the hospital, where he died.
Police said the victim, whose name was not released for publication, was wellknown to local law enforcement and that the case was being investigated as part of a feud between criminals. A spokesman for the Eilat police department referred to the victim “as a very well-known figure in the Eilat criminal world.”
