SHURAT HADIN'S ULTIMATE MISSION: AN ISRAELI REALITY CHECK

It's organizer's, the Shurat HaDin organization, bills the trip as the"Ultimate Mission" -- an eight-day, James Bond-style tour behind the scenes of Israel's war against the Palestinian terrorist groups and the rogue regimes that finance them. For the past several years, the Tel-Aviv based law center has been hosting doctors, attorneys, accountants, programmers and other professionals from around the world on their high-impact investigative tours. The missions' purported aim is to explore the challenges of the terrorist threat to the Jewish State's survival by allowing participants to hear it first hand from the policy makers themselves. This year's Ultimate Mission will be held on November 3rd thru Nov. 10th 2008. In the wake of the war against Hezbollah and Hamas take over of Gaza, the Mission participates are promised an intensive and action-packed series of briefings and field tours with Israeli security, military and intelligence officials focusing on the strategic dangers being waged from the dual threat of Arab violence and Islamic extremism. The Ultimate Mission boasts of the sorts of "insiders access" that participants just will not find on UJC or Hadassah trips to Israel. Shurat HaDin claims that Mission attendees receive briefings from senior commanders of Israel's intelligence and security services, as well as the other strategic decision-makers who shape and lead Israel's multifaceted war on terrorism. The trips are completely kosher and are run on a "Shomer Shabbat" itinerary. Mission highlights listed on the Shurat HaDin Web site include:
