Internationally-recognized Israeli supermodel and actress Gal Gadot, who has starred in the Fast and the Furious franchise and is set to appear as Wonder Woman in DC Comics’ upcoming round of films, took to Facebook late Friday in an outward show of support for Israel and the IDF, while condemning Hamas actions in Gaza.
Gadot took a firm stance supporting the Jewish state, denouncing Hamas as “horrific” and “cowards.”
“I am sending my love and prayers to my fellow Israeli citizens,” the past Miss Israel wrote.
“Especially to all the boys and girls who are risking their lives protecting my country against the horrific acts conducted by Hamas, who are hiding like cowards behind women and children...
We shall overcome!!! Shabbat Shalom #weareright #freegazafromhamas #stopterror #coexistance #loveidf” Last week, model Bar Refaeli also took to Twitter and Facebook in solidarity with those who are serving in Israel’s military amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Refaeli posted a photo in memory of the IDF soldiers who have lost their lives during the current conflict with Hamas, and wrote, “These days are so difficult to bare [sic].”
“Brave young men who have protected our country from terror. My heart goes out to their families,” continued Refaeli. “They will always be remembered and respected #RIP.”
Since her post, the Israeli-born-and-raised beauty, who previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio, has been inundated with anti-Semitic comments, including one calling her a “monster terrorist.”
Another person wrote, “Times like these make u wanna wonder and wonder and wonder: why...why didnt [sic] Hitler finish what he started?”
