Israeli basketball star Omri Casspi's rise to the NBA has caught the attention of America's top basketball fan, US President Barack Obama.
During a special Hannukah reception at the White House, Casspi, who was invited by Obama to represent his country, engaged in friendly chit-chat with the president over the prospects of his new team, the Houston Rockets.
Casspi posted footage of the presidential encounter on his Twitter account.
"Do you feel pretty good about Dwight?" the president asked Casspi. Obama showed off his basketball acumen, asking Casspi about his talented teammate, All-Star center Dwight Howard.
