Farmar lands in Israel to Mac TA mob

The 24-year-old New Jersey Nets guard: "I think this is going to be an amazing experience.”

Jordan Farmar arrived in Israel to a raucous welcome from Maccabi Tel Aviv fans on Thursday morning before revealing how excited he is to join the yellow-and-blue in his first press conference in the holy land.
The 24-year-old New Jersey Nets guard – who is Jewish with Israeli roots – will play for Maccabi until the NBA lockout ends, and will be doing so for a mere $25,000 a month.
“I received a warm welcome at the airport and I’m just as excited as the fans,” said Farmar, who has won two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and is currently one season into a three-year, $12 million contract with the Nets.
