Flag Football: Shutouts galore in WAFI Week 3

Ziontours has quite a lot to celebrate as Women’s American Football in Israel gets back to the field.

Ziontours had quite a lot to celebrate about Monday night as Women’s American Football in Israel got back to the field.
In addition to shutting out Linden-bomb, Ziontours was graced with the return of quarterback Jes Steinberg.
In no time, Steinberg connected with Blima Zelinger for a pair of quick touchdowns.
At the start of the second half Tirza Willner made an impressive catch for a TD of her own and to seal the deal, Ayelet Raab had the final TD of the game.
Ziontours continuously displayed extraordinary defense, with Esther Feldhammer notching an interception and Zelinger picking off two in a 24-0 rout.
In other news, Halachic Organ Donor Society/ HaGov overcame the Rebels by a final score of 39-8.
QB Cindy Scarr threw touchdowns to receivers Tehila Newman, Dylan Masri, Joy Davis and Lilach Ben-David.
On defense, Rachel Shmidman set a new WAFI record with a remarkable seven interceptions, two of which were returned for TDs.
In other action, Mishaan recorded a 25-0 victory over Aldo. Quarterback Carly Braverman completed scoring strikes to Ayelet Hecht, Galya Kalfa, Ayelet Wartelsky and Tamar Bendheim.
On defense, Elianna Zeller, Hecht and Bendheim each had an interception of their own in the decisive triumph.
The third shutout of the night was recorded by Edens Eagles/VHM, 19-0 over Coffee Bean.
Roni Kahn hooked up with Daphna Fishman for two touchdowns and an additional touchdown was made by Faigie Levin.
An extra point was score by Elisheva Baumol. On defense, Orly Kierchenbaum lead the team with a combined three interceptions.
