Flag football: Competitive Week 8 in WAFI action

Kosher Casual/Paiges Lakers emerged victorious over Ziontours 18-0.

Kicking off week eight, Kosher Casual/Paiges Lakers emerged victorious over Ziontours.
Right off the bat Alex Gordon caught a ball from quarterback Emma Stein and ran the length of the field for her first out of two touchdowns of the game. Final score of the game was 18-0.
Coffee Bean had much to celebrate Monday night, after eking out a tremendous first win, defeating their opponents Aldo. Coffee Bean walked into the game without their starting QB, but Rachel Aaron was able to bring the team to victory. The final TD to win the game was caught by Liat Kosowsky, ending the game with the score 12-6.
Edens Eagles had an impressive win over Mishaan Plumbers, delivering them their first loss of the season.
QB Roni Kahn skillfully connected with receivers Daphna Fishman for two TD’s and Elisheva Baumol for one. On defense Elisheva Drellich and Fishman had one interception each. Final score of the game was 18-6.
In other WAFI action Halachic Organ Donor Society/ HaGov went head to head with Linden-bomb.
Although Linden-bombs’ cheering and chanting could be heard from all four corners of the stadium HODS/HaGov managed scraped out a 21- 13 win.
Big Blue dominated the field once again with a 33-0 win over the Mohawks. Quarterback Noreen Sagoskin was on fire all game long, connecting with receivers Sara Malka Greenblum, Yael Freedman, Hila Mamo, Ilana Gertel and Livia Nulman for a TD a piece.
On defense Mamo had three interceptions, Gertel had one and Greenblum recorded the team’s first safety of the season.
