Harel Levy and Rajeev Ram advanced to the third round of the men's doubles tournament at Wimbledon on Monday, defeating 15th seeded Argentinian's Martin Garcia and Sebastian Prieto 7-6 (0), 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 10-8. Levy and Ram's reward for winning the five set marathon will be a third round meeting with the winner of the match between Benjamin Becker and Petr Pala, and Robert Lindstedt and Jarkko Nieminen. Shahar Pe'er and Sania Mirza were leading 6-4, 4-3 in their second round doubles match against Agnes Szava and Vladimira Uhlirova when rain suspended play on Monday night. Szava and Uhlirova won eight of the first nine points of the match and opened a 2-0 lead. The Israeli/Indian duo, which is seeded 16th in the event, held serve in the following game, saving three break points, and broke their opponents three times in the remainder of the set to open an important lead. Peer and the Muslim Mirza haven't played together since the Japan Open in 2005 in which they reached the semifinals. Their partnership was met with anger by religious groups and the players decided until this years Wimbledon to stop teamingup in doubles tournaments. Others have praised the pair as an example of toleration. Andy Ram and Nathalie Dechy led 4-3 in the first set of their second round mixed doubles match against Lukasz Kubot and Sybille Bammer when play was suspended.
