Scientists closely monitoring heightened activity at volcano after a fissure sent lava spewing 65 feet (20 metres) in the air.

Picturesque shots from the erupting Mt. Kilauea on the island of Hawaii. The volcano's name means 'spewing' or 'much spreading' in Hawaiian... and that's just what it's been doing for the past 28 years.

Recently though, scientists have been monitoring new heightened activity.
