"We need a sane, professional, responsible alternative to the current government and we are that alternative," said opposition leader and Labor Chairman Isaac Herzog on Monday following Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman's decision to pull his party out of the Likud-Beytenu partnership.
Liberman made the announcement at a press conference earlier on Monday.
In his comments, Herzog called on Lapid and Livni to leave the coalition.
Herzog added, "After I heard Liberman today, it was clear that this government is on the way to falling apart. He [Liberman] showed a lack of trust in the prime minister."
The Labor leader added that, "Liberman cannot continue pretending to be a moderate, as he has in recent months, for purely political motives and not for the national good."
