Obama, Abbas to meet at White House on March 17
US President Barack Obama was scheduled to host Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Washington on March 17, the White House announced Thursday.

The two were slated to discuss the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian peace process and joint effort to "to strengthen the institutions that can support the establishment of a Palestinian state," the White House said in a statement.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was set to meet with Obama at the White House on Monday.
