Netanyahu meets king of late night TV
"I'm glad you left television and came to Israel," Netanyahu tells Jay Leno, who is in Israel to present award to former NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met Wednesday morning with legendary American comedian Jay Leno, who was visiting Israel for the first time.

“I’m glad you left television and came to Israel,” Netanyahu told Leno. “Thank you for the long and funny nights.”

“I hope tomorrow will be another one of those funny nights,” Leno responded.

The former long-time host of The Tonight Show will present the inaugural Genesis Prize to former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg in Jerusalem on Thursday night.

According to the prize’s website, the award recognizes the achievements of individuals who “embody the character of the Jewish people” through a commitment to Israel, the Jewish community and Jewish values.
