Every year around Independence Day when I begin this list which expresses my appreciation for our country, I'm a little worried that I won't find enough new reasons that I love Israel. But then in no particular order, they appear on my screen. Dear readers, feel free to contribute.

1) The prime minister and IDF chief of General Staff take active roles in the annual Independence Day Bible Contest.
